‘Di lang pang-mayaman: Makati Med to give free medical services to Makati residents
Makati residents can now avail themselves of specialized diagnostic and medical services at the Makati Medical Center (MMC), thanks to the efforts of Mayor Abby Binay.
On November 28, Binay signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on the city government’s behalf between the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) and MMC.
Under the MOA, doctors at OsMak can refer patients to MMC for specialized medical services at no cost.
Residents with the Makati Health Plus (MHP) card, or the so-called “Yellow Card,” can receive free medical services at MMC.
Binay said that while the city government continues to upgrade the services at OsMak, there are times when its equipment needs to be fixed or replaced. It is at times like this that doctors can recommend their patients to undergo specialized medical services at MMC.
OsMak doctors can also recommend to the MMC patients that need specialized operations, such as neurosurgery.
