Puro taga-San Juan ang dinala! Isko Moreno accuses Erap of building 2nd dynasty in Manila
Former Manila vice mayor Isko Moreno has accused Mayor Joseph Estrada of building a second political dynasty by having people from San Juan fill lucrative posts in the city.
In an interview over ANC last Friday, Moreno said the problems in Manila could be traced in part to Estrada’s hiring of non-residents.
“Hindi nila alam ang katayuan o demograpiya ng Maynila, ang kinatatayuan ng mga taga-Manila, they cannot relate because hindi sila taga roon,” he said.
Moreno said that while Estrada was born in Manila, his appointees should be residents of the city as well so they will be familiar with local concerns.
“You put people in various positions, dapat ay yung kilala man lang niya yung nasa Kagitingan street, kilala man lang niya dun sa Quirino Avenue and so on and so forth,” he said.
Moreno, who is running for mayor against Estrada in 2019, said the mayor appears to be expanding his dynasty since his daughter, Jerika, will be running for councilor.
The Estradas already consider San Juan City as their turf. The mayor’s granddaughter, Jerika, will be running as its mayor next year.
