Green is in! Forest-like part soon to open in Valenzuela
Residents of Valenzuela City will soon have a new place to hang out in with the construction of a so-called “Family Park” in Karuhatan.
The 1.2-hectare land will feature trees that are more than 100 years old.
Mayor Rex Gatchalian on Friday tweeted photos showing the progress in the park’s construction. He said it will be opened to the public either in December this year or January 2019.
Given the century-old trees scattered around the park, Gatchalian said residents can expect a “cool and shady” place to spend time in.
