Blessing in disguise! Marcy Teodoro gives 2nd reception to couple whose wedding party was crashed by tornado

A couple whose wedding reception in Marikina was crashed by a tornado before Typhoon Ompong struck last week will be having another chance to celebrate their big day, courtesy of Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro.

Local government employee Ryan Salvador shared that Randy and Jennifer Manaois will be having another wedding reception on October 17 at the Grand Cobo Events Place in Marikina after Teodoro asked its owner to accommodate them.

The mayor said he will also foot the bill for the couple’s honeymoon at the upscale Misibis Bay resort in Albay, as well as the tables, chairs and sound system to be used at their reception.

Salvador said Teodoro ordered the refund of the newlyweds’ payment at Kapitan Moy, where their first reception was held on September 14.

A viral video showed the wedding guests panicking after a tornado struck the events place.

Other freebies that the couple are set to receive include wedding shoes, a bridal car, and hair and makeup services courtesy of Teodoro’s friends.
