Residents of Valenzuela City will not go hungry or smelly in case they need to evacuate from their homes during a typhoon because the local government has their back covered.

Photos shared by Mayor Rex Gatchalian on Facebook showed that the city government has food packs containing food items enough to feed a family for four days.

Among the contents of the food packs are canned goods, rice, instant noodles, and packs of coffee, sugar and milk.

Evacuees will also get “family packs” containing shirts and toiletries.

In his post, Gatchalian said the packs prepared by the local government for residents showed that “alagang Valenzuelano” works even in times of disaster.
