Aksyon agad! Edwin Olivarez inspects Parañaque at height of ‘Ompong’

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez sprung right into action just as Typhoon Ompong showed signs of slowing down Saturday afternoon.

Olivarez visited Barangay Don Bosco visited low-lying barangays in the city to check the condition of residents and see if they need any assistance.

One of the areas Olivarez visited was Barangay Don Bosco, where a sampaloc tree fell.

The mayor ordered the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) to remove the tree immediately so as not to cause inconvenience among the residents.

Storm Signal Number 1 was raised over Metro Manila as a result of Typhoon Ompong, which was the strongest typhoon to hit the country so far this year.
