Palpak! Ruffy Biazon says NAIA didn’t have disaster plans in place

The country’s biggest airport does not have a backup plan when chaos strikes.

Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon said the latest airport fiasco at the Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) proves one thing: the authorities do not have contingency plans during crisis situations.

“One thing that was revealed by the fallout of the Xiamen Air incident is that NAIA does not have a disaster playbook that theorizes all possible incidents at NAIA and prepares templates for response. It’s a critical component of managing a vital installation like an airport,” Biazon said in a Tweet as he remains disgusted by the weekend paralysis of the country’s main airport.

Will heads roll? How will the NAIA bounce back from this?
