Ruffy Biazon spoke up for commuters in House hearing. Here’s what happened

The biggest stakeholders in any transport policy is apparently unrepresented here.

Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon discovered a huge problem during Congress hearings. Every time they are discussing policies on transportation and commuting, he realized that commuters do not have a voice during the proceedings.

“Just realized that even in our hearings in Congress, the commuters are not represented in the discussions. The transport groups are here providing applause for statements that are favorable to them,” Biazon said.

Biazon took the liberty as an occasional EDSA passenger and MRT rider himself, but he was even more shocked about the response of the room.

“I spoke on behalf of commuters, it was met with silence,” the politiko said.
