Muntinlupa City teams up with PayMaya for hi-tech citizen’s ID
Residents of Muntinlupa City no longer have to line up for hours at the city hall to receive their cash benefits and allowances.
The local government of Muntinlupa City, led by Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, has teamed up with PayMaya for the Muntinlupa Care Card (MCC) Plus, the country’s most advanced ID card for residents.
Through the new card, Muntinlupa residents will be able to receive their cash benefits in an instant.
They can also use the MCC Plus to pay for goods and services in some 5,000 small businesses which benefit from the local government’s Joint Resources Financing Program zero interest loan.
The card can be used to pay for rides in the e-jeepneys plying around the city.
Some 200,000 residents of Muntinlupa City have availed themselves of the MCC since its launch in 2015.
The card can be loaded through Smart Padala, SM Business Centers, Robinsons Business Centers, 7-Eleven, Touchpay, UnionBank ATMs, Shopwise, Wellcome, 2Go, ExpressPay, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, Smart Padala, Banco De Oro, UnionBank, RCBC Online Banking, and other InstaPay outlets.
