Tom Villarin says Duterte actually needs GMA on his side. Here’s why
He had to drop someone of little use.
Akbayan Party-list Rep. Tom Villarin shared his theory about the sudden change in leadership at the House of Representatives.
The ever-loyal Pantaleon Alvarez was abruptly dropped in favor of ex-President now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and Villarin thinks it’s a tactical move.
Villarin said President Rodrigo Duterte actually needs Arroyo to lift his popularity in Luzon and Metro Manila and support with her knowledge in economics.
To add, Arroyo is simply warming up the Speaker’s podium for the presidential daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio, who supposedly engineered the ouster.
“Alvarez was already excess baggage & Sara’s Hugpong party to take over PDP for her eventual run as Speaker in 2019 & prez in 2022. It’s plan B after failed no-el & unpopular chacha,” Villarin added.
#SONalokoNa PDuts need GMA to prop up his popularity in Luzon & NCR & boost his economic team. Alvarez was already excess baggage & Sara’s Hugpong party to take over PDP for her eventual run as Speaker in 2019 & prez in 2022. It’s plan B after failed no-el & unpopular chacha.

What a gripping theory!
