Em Aglipay feels bittersweet to leave Congress for DOJ
It’s the end of an era for her.
DIWA Party-list Rep. Emmeline Aglipay-Villar has taken her oath of office as the newest undersecretary at the Department of Justice. The politiko had husband Public Works Secretary Mark Villar by her side during the ceremony in Malacañang.
It was then revealed that she had mixed feelings about leaving her work as a solon to cross over to the Executive branch.
“I was getting somewhat sentimental in leaving Congress because Congress has been my home for the last eight years. I’ll miss a lot of things about Congress, but most of all the friends I’ve made, including my staff,” Villar said.
Her new work starts Aug. 1. Change is coming!
