Tom Villarin screams BS for high Pulse Asia ratings on Duterte

That number won’t feed hungry mouths.

Akbayan Party-list Rep. Tom Villarin questioned the results of the June 2018 survey of Pulse Asia, which reported an 87 percent approval rating for President Rodrigo Duterte.

Villarin said the number appears to be nothing but an ego-booster for Duterte’s men and does nothing for the rest of the Pinoy population.

“Pulse Asia survey consistent in giving high ratings for Pres Duterte. It’s a perception boost for Duterte but not a reality check. It boost egos in Malacañang but won’t make people feel less poor, hungry and insecure of the future. It will not erase 5.2 percent inflation & rising,” the politiko said.

The latest rating is higher than the 80 percent from Pulse Asia’s January poll. The trend is reversed with the results of the Social Weather Stations survey which saw a big decline in net satisfaction with Duterte’s leadership.
