Nakalusot: 2 Tondo candidates in narcolist won village polls


Two candidates in Tondo, Manila listed in the narcolist of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) won in the recently concluded barangay elections.

Marcelino Ortega was elected chairman of Barangay 199 after garnering 697 votes while Vener Collao won as councilor of Barangay 780 with 364 votes.

The wife of another barangay chairman, who is also in the PDEA list won unopposed in the polls.

Susan Dulay Bartolo, succeeded her husband, Arnel Dungo, as village chief of Barangay 255 in Tondo with 410 votes.

PDEA chief Aaron Aquino earlier said they were preparing charges against winning and losing candidates included in the drug watchlist.
