Ruffy Biazon revives proposed incentives for hybrid cars
Will sixth time be the charm?
Congressman Ruffy Biazon has refiled his proposal to empower hybrid and alternative fuel car manufacturers by giving them tax incentives. Through this, the politiko expects to allow the industry to proliferate and help cut toxic emissions and air pollution.
Biazon has long championed for this bill as early as the 12th Congress, but it has not moved closer to passage into law since.
Now, the politiko’s hopes are high after the House Committee on Ecology started discussions on the measure.
“The bill is long overdue to become a law, considering that I first filed it back in the 12th Congress during my very first term as congressman in 2001. It never got the attention it deserved over the next 16 years,” Biazon said.
“Hopefully in this 17th Congress it will become a law.”
Keep those fingers crossed!
