Australia warns of terrorist threat in PH; Kung anu-ano na kasi nababalita
Australia warned its nationals in the Philippines Tuesday against a “high threat” of terrorist attacks in the country, including in Manila.
In a Nov. 28 update to its travel advice on the Philippines, Australia cited “a high threat of terrorist attack in the Philippines, including Manila.”
“Exercise heightened caution at this time. Be alert to possible threats around locations that have a low level of protective security and places known to be possible terrorist targets,” it said.
Also, it advised its nationals to “exercise a high degree of caution in the Philippines overall.”
The advice came after President Rodrigo Duterte terminated formal peace negotiations with the Communist Party of the Philippines and National Democratic Front.
Duterte’s move came amid continued ambushes and attacks by the CPP-NDF’s armed component New People’s Army.
