Actress and former beauty queen Maria Isabel Lopez is appealing for Land Transportation Office (LTO) to be fair in imposing penalties on her for violating traffic rules.

Lopez said she is ready to face the consequences of her actions but she expects LTO to punish her depending on the gravity of her violation.

“Yung pag-post ko naman sa social media, it’s just like the child in me. Maganda naman na meron tayong due process, but I did those actions and I’m willing to take the consequence of my action kung may penalty,” Lopez said.

“‘Sana lang matimbang nila nang maigi yung buong pangyayari tsaka sabi ko na lang kay Director Almora, wala pa naman akong driving violation o traffic violation, sana kung ano man yung penalty na ipapataw sakin sana bigyan ako ng konting senior citizens discount, 20 percent,” she added.

Lopez drew flak after she posted on her social media accounts that she removed divider cones on EDSA so she could use the ASEAN lanes to ditch heavy traffic last Saturday.

She was summoned by the LTO to explain why her driver’s license should not be suspended or revoked.
