All security measures are in place for the country’s observance of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.
The assurance was made by no less than National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Oscar Albayalde during a press briefing in Malacañang on Thursday.
“A total of 13,934 personnel joining forces to ensure the safety and security in the occasion of Undas 2017,” Albayalde said.
He said coordination has been made with local government units and other government agencies for the provision of fire trucks, ambulances and health personnel that would attend to emergencies.
He added that security patrols will also be conducted in residential areas to prevent “akyat-bahay” and “salisi” incidents.
The NCRPO will also establish advanced command post outside the Manila North Cementery and police assistance desks in all cemeteries, ports, major bus terminals, churches and other places of convergence.
Quick reaction teams are on standby, ready for deployment should any situation arise, according to Albayalde.
“We will also conduct information campaign through your help to provide warnings against any modus of criminal groups or against groups or individuals who may take advantage of the occasion as well as things that are prohibited inside cemeteries,” he added.
He said police force will be deployed as early as November 30 until November 2.
