Roque: People are fearful of being collateral damage in drug war
Kabayan partylist Rep. Harry Roque said the latest survey results released by Pulse Asia today are indicative of the overwhelming support for President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
It also showed how “we have been winning the war on drugs,” he said.
“However, caution should be exerted by the government as people are increasingly becoming fearful of becoming collateral damage on the war on drugs as reflected by the 76 percent who are worried with what happened to Kian delos Santos,” Roque said.
“I believe this number will decrease with PDEA now becoming the sole agency in charge of the war on drugs,” he said.
Roque also said critics of the President “should heed the people’s very clear message that they want peaceful, safe, and quiet communities free from drugs.”
