The local government is off to make solid ties with this community.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez recently met with representatives of the Muslim residents of Parañaque after they paid him a visit at the city hall.
The group was led by Salih Mohamad and H.Abdulatif Sangcupan, who proposed to the mayor the creation of a Muslim Consultative Council in Parañaque. The goal is to align city projects and programs to Muslim practices, which in turn will allow the community to take a more active role in the city’s operations.
Sounds like a solid plan!
