Bigwigs from both showbiz and politics aligned on Sunday, July 23 to witness Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas’ posh church wedding with wife Yasmine Vargas at the Manila Cathedral, which was followed by a grandiose reception party at the Peninsula Manila hotel.
Vice President Leni Robredo was the highest official to grace the event, where she got the chance to chat with TV host Kris Aquino. She also stood as ninang and walked the aisle with her former running mate, ex-Secretary Mar Roxas.
Quezon City’s Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte also stood as principal sponsors, showing Vargas’ good ties with his colleagues at the city government.
Hordes of politikos also suited up for the grand occasion.
Vargas’ fellow actors at the recently-concluded reboot of fantaserye Encantadia were also in attendance to extend their well-wishes to the long-time couple.
