Taguig City bags HR excellence award

For its consistency in meeting the city employees’ needs, the Human Resources Management Office of Taguig City was recognized by the Civil Service Commission, Mayor Lani Cayetano announced on Friday.

The department received a certificate for reaching Maturity Level 2 in two Human Resource systems — Performance Management and Rewards and Recognition — under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management.

Several agencies participated and were evaluated by the CSC but only 66 qualified for the award.

Of the 17 local government units in Metro Manila, only Taguig and Manila received the recognition.

Taguig joined the likes of the Office of the President, the Senate, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas which also received the Maturity Level 2 award.

City Personnel Officer Jeanette Clemente said the recognition means the city government has complied with all the requirements mandated by the CSC under the said systems.

“This validates that the programs we implemented are beneficial and truly cater to the needs of our employees,” she added.
