Too late the hero? Erap suspends Manila classes due to transport strike past 2 pm

Maybe it’s the thought that counts.

Mayor Joseph Estrada gave in to calls to suspend classes at the City of Manila in light of a nationwide transport strike staged by jeepney and UV Express operators and drivers on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. The politiko made the announcement on Facebook at 2:39 p.m., which is too late for a half-day suspension for most students already in school.

The class suspension covers all levels for both public and private schools in the city. Good luck going home!
