Gusto ng closure: Kid Peña asks for quiet time after losing to Abi Binay
They need some time for acceptance.
The camp of acting Makati Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña has asked for a temporary truce from his supporters coming from their loss to Abigail Binay in the mayoral race.
Peña rose as acting mayor in 2015 after Abi’s brother Junjun Binay was dismissed from the post by the Ombudsman over graft charges in the alleged overpricing of the Makati Parking Building.
However, Pena’s incumbency failed to provide him the needed advantage to stop the return of the Binays in local office.
The Commission on Elections proclaimed the female Binay as the next mayor alongside her running mate Monique Lagdameo and husband Luis Campos as congressman.
Is this a hint for a brewing electoral protest?
