SWS: More than half a million families go hungry in Metro Manila

A recent survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed that at least 553,000 families experienced hunger in Metro Manila.

The recent SWS survey, which was published in the BusinessWorld, said that hunger stayed at 18.3 percent in the National Capital Region.

The poll firm also said the latest result of the survey for Metro Manila was the worst since the 22 percent recorded in September 2014.

The SWS survey on hunger was conducted from September  2 to 5.

The poll result for Metro Manila was included to nationwide survey of the SWS, which used face-to-face interviews of 1,200 respondents in National Capital Region, the Balance of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

It has a margin of error of plus and minus 3 percent in national percentages and plus and minus 6 percent for area percentages.
