4-peat na! Caloocan wins Seal of Good Local Governance anew
Caloocan City is slowly gaining reputation as a model city with its receipt of the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance from the Department of Interior and Local Government for the fourth straight year.
Mayor Oscar Malapitan received the plaque of recognition from DILG officials at ceremonies held at the Manila Hotel this week.
In a statement, Malapitan thanked all city officials for their support for his leadership.
“This award is a collective effort of the Local Government of Caloocan and the people of Caloocan,” he said.
Malapitan also thanked all city department heads and employees for their hard work in serving the people.
He also thanked residents of the city for being the “true heroes” who inspire him and other local officials to institute reforms in Caloocan.
The Seal of Good Local Governance is the highest award given by the DILG to a local government unit for promoting transparency, accountability and responsiveness in management, as well as the effective delivery of social services.
