Kung ‘di lang congressman! Monsour Del Rosario spills why he turned down offers to be on ‘Ang Probinsyano’
Makati City Rep. Monsour Del Rosario was offered twice to be a guest star on the hit ABS-CBN action series “Ang Probinsyano” but he rejected them because he was in politics.
Talking to the Philippine Star’s Ricky Lo, Del Rosario shared that he was first offered to appear as a congressman who protected a drug lord. He turned it down since he felt it would not be good for his image as a lawmaker.
The second offer was similar to the first one: he would play the role of a police general who protected a drug lord. Del Rosario refused.
As an incumbent politiko, Del Rosario said he’s careful about the showbiz roles he accepts.
“Otherwise, if I was not a congressman, I would have readily accepted the Probinsyano offer,” he said. “It would have been okay if they asked me to play, for example, Coco Martin’s mentor who inspires him to be a good officer.”
