Star studded! Albayalde, Bato Dela Rosa grace groundbreaking of Marikina’s new police HQ
Past and present top brass of the Philippine National Police graced the groundbreaking on Wednesday of the eight-story building which will be the Marikina City police’s main headquarters.
Present at the ceremony were PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde, National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar and Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who used to head the national police force.
The new Marikina City police headquarters will be built on a 3,500-square meter property in Barangay Fortune at the cost of P130 million. The local government expects its construction to be finished in two years.
Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said the headquarters will also feature a shooting range and hi-tech communication equipment.
The city government found Barangay Fortune as the ideal location for the city police headquarters because it is right in the middle of district two.
