Miro Quimbo says Sunday family meals are sacred
He is never too busy for family.
Marikina Congressman Romero “Miro” Quimbo has had to make more than enough sacrifice just to fulfill his tasks as a politiko, which includes missing precious family bonding time.
Still, Quimbo makes it work by designating Sundays as strictly for his family, where he and his wife Competition Commissioner Stella Quimbo and their four children sit down and talk.
“Walang kayamanan ang makakapantay sa isang pamilyang magkakasamang kumain. The biggest thing I dislike about my job is that I can no longer have daily Diners with my wife and four kids. Sobrang hirap but this is the life God has chosen for me so I accept it,” Quimbo said, recounting his younger days of spending all his meals with his parents and 10 siblings.
“That’s why I look forward to Sundays. Its the only time I get to be with them with certainty.”
The Quimbos indulged in delicious ramen in nearby Antipolo. Their verdict: Masarap!
