Possible P3M error: PNP checking damage from bungled helicopter flyby
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now assessing the damage from a bungled helicopter flyby in Camp Crame on Wednesday which caused a LED screen and several tents to topple.
PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Benigno Durana said they are checking the cost of the incident but clarified thet are not investigating it.
According to reports, the LED screen rented by the PNP for its 117th anniversary celebration cost P3 million.
The LED screen and tents fell down due to the strong winds generated by the Bell 429 helicopter as ita pilot was doing a flyby.
President Rodrigo Duterte attended the PNP’s anniversary celebration.
Except for the bungled flyby, Durana said the event was “very successful.”
