Ex-Parañaque Rep. Roilo Golez dies
Former Parañaque Rep. and National Security Adviser Roilo Golez has passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 71.
House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, who is a close friend of the politiko, made the announcement.
“It is with sadness that [Minority Leader] Danny Suarez just called me with the information that our former colleague, Roilo ‘Roy’ Golez, passed away due to heart attack,” Fariñas said.
Golez served as representative of the second district of Parañaque City for six terms, from 1992 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2013.
He also served as National Security Adviser from 2001 to 2004 under then-President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
