Acedillo schools netizens about Sereno ouster
It’s wrong to compare this to the case of ex-Chief Justice Renato Corona.
Former Magdalo Party-list Rep. Francisco Ashley Acedillo schooled his Facebook friends and fans about the controversial removal of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno from the Supreme Court.
The court’s approval of the quo warranto petition removing Sereno is not an impeachment, Acedillo asserted, as it was not the Constitutional remedy provided by the law.
He went as far as shutting down people who were comparing Sereno’s situation to Corona’s, saying that the latter actually went through the proper process.
“I guess this is the quickest way to tell your FB friends with their dimwitted ideas that Quo Warranto DOES NOT EQUATE TO AN Impeachment,” Acedillo said.
“But if you are feeding from the DDS trough, this stuff ain’t for you.”
