Gary Alejano admits to being mom’s black sheep
His mother must have had a tough time worrying about this ex-Marine and mutineer.
Magdalo Party-list Rep. Gary Alejano shared a heartwarming tale as he greeted his dear Mamang Lica on Mother’s Day.
The politiko shared how he grew up under the care of his terror teacher slash mom, who was quick to brand him as the “black sheep” of the family as a middle child. It turned out to be his brand, as he went to become a fighter and even a mutineer soldier.
“Mamang is strict but she was always there to provide for our needs. I came to understand her noong nagkapamilya na rin ako. Walang katumbas ang saya sa puso niya pag nagtatapos kaming mga anak niya sa kolehiyo. She is proud of our achievements and she usually tells them to her friends just like any mother would do,” Alejano said.
“To mamang, I still remember our letter exchanges when I was still in PMA. You were worried but I knew you were proud. I understand your fears especially when I almost died in Mindanao during the all-out-war campaign in 2000 but I sensed your pride knowing that your son is serving the country.”
Now, that’s love!
