Manila court orders arrest of ex-EIC of Top Gear Philippines
A Manila court has ordered the arrest of former Top Gear Philippines editor-in-chief Vernon Sarne over a cyber libel charge.
Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 12 released a warrant of arrest against Sarne for identifying a wrong person as the gunman behind the shooting of a cyclist in Quiapo in 2016.
The complaint was filed by motorist Nestor Punzalan.
Sarne’s bail was set at P10,000.
The Department of Justice had earlier found probable cause to indict Sarne for cyber libel.
