Erice: Roque ‘might be a frustrated woman’
Caloocan City second-district Rep. Edgar Erice struck a low blow against presidential spokesperson Harry Roque by casting a slur on his sexual orientation.
The Magnificent 7 lawmaker asked why Roque was targeting prominent women like Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Leila de Lima, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, and UN special rapporteur Agnes Callamard.
“Why harry roque is so bitter with leni, leila, sereno, ressa and callamard, describing them as expiring? Because he might be a frustrated woman,” Erice told reporters in a Viber thread.
In an online interview aired on his Facebook page last Friday, Roque slammed women who have been critical of the Duterte administration’s drug war, including Robredo, De Lima, Sereno and Callamard.
On the other hand, Roque heaped praise on Assistant Communications Secretary Mocha Uson, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos and Deputy House Speaker Gwen Garcia.
