Solid tax collections has placed the city on track to pay its debts.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez said Parañaque is off to a good start in 2018 given a good run last year.
In his State of the City Address, the politiko brandished a 14.02 percent increase in local tax collections. The additional funding, he said, puts the city closer fo being debt-free.
By 2021, Olivarez said loans worth P2 billion incurred by the previous administration will be wiped out.
The city also did well in the anti-red tape scorecard of the Civil Service Commission.
