Traffic pa more! MRT-7 construction will cause heavy traffic in QC

Expect heavy traffic in parts of Quezon City starting Monday.

This will be due to the installation of rail tracks and other construction activities for the MRT-7.

The installation of rail track will start at the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) Station, which will occupy two lanes at the center of North Avenue.

Only three lanes going to QMC and two lanes going to EDSA will be passable for motorists.

Also expect heavy traffic along Commonwealth Avenue due to ongoing construction work on the westbound and eastbound sides of the Don Antonio and Batasan stations.

Rail tracks along Quirino Highway in Caloocan City will be installed this January.

Work on the University Avenue, Manggahan, Doña Carmen, and Regalado stations will also start in the first quarter of this year.

The MRT-7 Project Traffic Management Task Force, which is tasked to mitigate the effects of construction activities, advised motorists to avoid the construction areas and take alternative routes.
