Ay sus tigas ulo! 2 soldiers nabbed for indiscriminate firing in Taguig

Two Army men were arrested for indiscriminate firing in Bicutan, Taguig City on New Year’s Day.

The suspects were identified as retired Army Staff Sergeant Jamael Mindalano and Corporal Richard John Quijano.

A neighbor of the suspects were reportedly hurt after the two fired their guns at Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

The two are facing various charges including indiscriminate firing, alarm and scandal, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, physical injury, direct assault, resisting arrest, physical injuries and serious disobediance.

Seized from them were .45 pistols, a 9mm pistol, and a .38 revolver.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) meanwhile reported that nine people have been arrested for illegal discharge of firearms since New Year’s Eve.

Five of them are civilians, two police personnel, one security guard, and a government official.

PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa earlier said that cops who will indiscriminately fire their guns will be dismissed from service.
