‘Di masikmura sa mahal! Sandra Cam wants probe into PCSO’s “lavish” Christmas party
Sandra Cam cannot just stomach the “lavish” Christmas party that her office, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), recently held.
Cam, a newly appointed board member of PCSO, is asking an investigation into the matter.
“I found out that it was really a lavish, grandiose celebration that PCSO had,” she said as she showed a document dated Nov. 16, 2017 signed by PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan indicating that the budget for Shangri-La Edsa party was P9.8 million.
Cam did not attend the party as a sign of protest saying that part of the money should have been spent for the victims of calamities in the country.
Balutan expressed readiness to defend the controversial party “in any investigation,” saying that Cam was out to “taint” the reputation of the agency for her own personal interest.
The former military man denied Cam’s accusation saying that the agency only spent P6 million. He noted that the budget was “way below” compared to the parties held by the agency in previous years.
He also alleged that Cam has long been eyeing to become the chairperson of PCSO.
