Trabaho muna bago sisi! Quit pointing fingers over Dengvaxia mess, solons urge

by Xave Gregorio

Two lawmakers slammed the Duterte administration’s apparent strategy of prosecuting before finding solutions for the Dengvaxia mess.

Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice called out the government for prioritizing boxing bouts with the Aquino administration.

Erice said the government should find a solution first to the Dengvaxia mess before going after officials implicated in the botched vaccination program.

Erice said.

Magdalo Party-list Rep. Gary Alejano echoed Erice’s sentiments, saying the issue has been politicized.

“Kung meroon talagang liability yung mga officers, officials of the government before, tama lang naman na imbestigahan. But the point is, let us address the problem right now,” Alejano said.

The Philippine government spent P3 billion in dengue vaccines which was distributed to over 730,000 individuals before Sanofi disclosed that the vaccine leads to a severe disease.
