LOOK: Marcos pa rin! Erap attends dictator’s 100th birthday bash
Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada was one of the apparently few politikos who attended the commemoration of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ 100th birth anniversary Monday (September 11) at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
A photo from the Southern Police District (SPD) showed the 80-year-old Estrada alighting from his vehicle at the heroes’ cemetery. He wore a blue barong for the occasion.
According to the SPD, around 250 guests attended the commemoration at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Aside from Estrada, other prominent personalities who were at the event were Iraqi Ambassador to the Philippines Ahmed Al Kuwin and Marcos-era finance secretary Cesar Virata.
The camp of former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos reportedly sent out invitations to several politikos for the commemoration of her husband’s 100th birthday.
