Ruffy Biazon is dressed to impress for House budget hearings

He is seriously defending these budget allocations in style.

Muntinlupa Congressman Ruffy Biazon has been assigned to sponsor the budget for the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The politiko made some serious studying and reading to prepare for his time on the podium, and made sure that his outfit will reflect his wit.

The politiko looked dapper in his suit and purple bow tie as he vouched for the needed funds for the country’s security.

Waiting for my turn to sponsor the budget of the agency assigned to me.

The 3-volume 2018 General Appropriations Bill outlining the 3.7-Billion Pesos budget of the national government is currently the agenda of the plenary in session which began last Monday. Vice-chairs of the House Committee on Appropriations are assigned certain departments and agencies of the National Government for them to sponsor on the floor the respective budgets of the agencies during the debates. As one of the Vice Chairs, I have been assigned to sponsor the budget of the Department of National Defense and its attached agencies, a role that I have performed 3 times during my last term in the 14th Congress and for the second time in this 17th Congress. Tomorrow, I will take to the floor to engage my colleagues in the deliberations. Yesterday, the plenary debates started at 10:00am, Wednesday and ended at 4:00am, Thursday for a straight 18-hour session. The House has been working extended hours to meet its target of passing the budget bill not later than Sept 12. #ruffybiazon #muntinlupa #muntinlupacity #muntinlupa100years #allinadayswork
