PHLPost marks OWWA’s 35th anniversary with commemorative cover

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration marked its 35th anniversary with a new commemorative cover from the Philippine Postal Corp.

PHLPost said the commemorative cover features the anniversary logo of OWWA and the slogan that says “We Serve…We Care #35 Years of Helping OFWs & Their Families.”

“A special postmark or canceller that designates the place and date of the specific event in the commemorative cover highlights the historical significance which is valuable for collectors,” it added.

Featured as well in the cover is the OWWA’s main building in Pasay City. The OWWA was established in 1982.

OWWA, an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), seeks to protect and promote the welfare and well-being of overseas Filipino workers and their dependents.
