Joy Belmonte taps Jollibee for Payatas feeding program
They didn’t get Chickenjoy but something healthier.
Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte wanted to make sure that Quezon City kids grow up healthy, so she put together a feeding program for the benefit of Payatas children.
Belmonte got the help of Jollibee Group Foundation, together with the Mealenium Foundation and the local Division of City Schools. However, the Jollibee-branded plates carried something more nutritious for these kids — a different scene from the one-piece fried chicken and gravy they usually carry.
The politiko credits the initiative to her bibo nephew Basti, a high school student already with a heart for public service.
