Miro Quimbo among the last Congressmen standing during Customs drug probe
How’s that for dedication?
Tiresome as it may get, Marikina Rep. Romero “Miro” Quimbo actually enjoyed the House probe on the supposed irregularities in the Bureau of Customs which led to the smuggling of millions worth of drugs into the country.
The politiko-lawyer got to revive his skills at litigation as he was questioning the witnesses present during the hours-long hearing, which only very few solons stayed on until it finished.
Apart from Quimbo, others who stayed til midnight were his fellow Deputy Speakers Raneo Abu and Sharon Garin, as well as Reps. Ace Barbers and Toby Tiangco, to name a few.
