4 bus terminals to rise along Quirino Highway

The Quezon City Council on Tuesday granted special use permits to three bus companies to enable them to construct and operate bus terminals along Quirino Highway.

In three separate resolutions filed by Councilor Oliviere T. Belmonte, Safeway Bus Line Inc., Fran-Vill Transit Inc., and Diamond V Eight Transport Inc. were granted concessions.

Safeway Bus Line applied for two special permits for the construction and operation of a garage and one-story office with motorpool and another bus garage in Barangay Kaligayahan.

Diamond V Eight Transport Inc., and Fran Vill Transit Inc. were also granted special use permits to construct and operate a garage in Barangay Sta. Monica.

The city council sees no adverse effect on public health, safety and welfare of the construction and operation of the facilities.

The issuance of special use permits by the city council is in compliance with the provision of Article VII Section 2 of Ordinance 918-2000, otherwise known as the Quezon City Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. #
