New NLEX exit ramp to ease traffic in Valenzuela – Mayor Rex
The opening of Lingunan exit ramp on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will help reduce traffic in some major roads in Valenzuela City, Mayor Rex Gatchalian said on Friday.
The new ramp will ease the surge in the number of motorists from the North using the Paso de Blas and Karuhatan exits. With the new exit, Gatchalian said motorists can now bypass Maysan Road.
Lingunan exit is a big development because it will reduce the volume of vehicles coming into notoriously traffic prone Maysan road, our main city road, Gatchalian told Politiko in a text message.
He said they are also eyeing exits in Mapulang Lupa and Parada, two barangays located at the further south of the Lingunan exit and the main NLEX interchange.
The new North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Lingunan Exit Ramp Southbound opened last Tuesday, July 11.
Gatchalian thanked businessmen Johnny Sy of John Wilter Land, Robert Que of Flash Built Corporation and Winston Lim of Northgate Corporation who donated their land and shouldered the construction expenses for the project.
With the opening of the NLEX Lingunan Exit Ramp, Valenzuela now has the most number of exits and major entrances in MNTC, with seven exits and three major interchanges.
