Tom Villarin lists pitfalls of extending Martial Law

We might as well bid adieu to democracy should this happen.

Akbayan Party-list Rep. Tom Villarin could not believe how some people — the Speaker of the House included — would want to stretch the military rule in Mindanao all the way to 2022, while others float the idea of a nationwide martial law.

Villarin lamented how Filipinos seem to not have learned from the past as they advocate for something that has given the country its dark history.

When will we ever learn?
