#WalangPasok: Erap declares April 12 a non-working holiday
In observance of Holy Week, Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada declared Wednesday, April 12, a non-working holiday for city government employees.
Estrada said this will give the city personnel ample time to prepare for the holidays.
“Honorable Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada has declared 12 April 2017, Holy Wednesday, as a non-working day in the City Government of Manila,” City Administrator Ericson Alcovendaz said in a memorandum.
With the declaration, the City of Manila City will have a longer vacation as April 13(Maundy Thursday) and April 14 (Good Friday) are already declared national regular holidays.
Last year, Estrada also declared Holy Wednesday as a non-working holiday for city employees.
