Bato wishes Bistek is ‘mayor of entire country.’ Here’s why
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Director-General Ronald dela Rosa is very appreciative of the Quezon City government’s continued support to cops in their fight against crime.
During the turnover of patrol cars at Camp Tomas Karingal, Dela Rosa expressed his gratitude to Mayor Herbert Bautista for helping the PNP improve its peacekeeping efforts.
According to Dela Rosa, the city government’s continued support has enabled the QC Police District to lead the pack in terms of capabilities and in setting a high standard for a police district.
“Sana si Mayor Bautista na lang ang mayor ng buong Pilipinas para lahat ng police stations ay fully-equipped,” Dela Rosa said.
Dela Rosa was the guest of honor during the formal turnover of 50 patrol cars to the QCPD.
In his message to the QCPD, Dela Rosa said: “Sana isapuso ninyo ang ownership ng mga sasakyan. Sana hindi ninyo ito gamitin sa mga
kwestionableng mga lugar. Dapat doon lamang sa mga strategic na mga lugar kung saan makikita kayo ng publiko.”
The new patrol cars, which are all equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS), will be distributed to 12 QCPD police stations, tactical motorized units and other support units.
Aside from the patrol cars, Mayor Bautista also announced that the city government will also buy 500 Glock pistols, 500 bullet-proof vests, 150 motorcycles and anti-cyber crime equipment for the cops.
