#WalangPasok: Classes suspended in Makati due to transport strike

Makati Mayor Abby Binay has suspended classes in all public school levels in the city Monday, February 27 because of the planned nationwide jeepney strike.

“In view of the transport strike set for tomorrow, Monday, classes are suspended for public schools in all levels,” Binay said in an advisory Sunday, February 26.

“Suspension of classes for private schools is at the discretion of the school administration. Number Coding is lifted ONLY for PUVs that will not be joining the strike,” she added.

The demonstration will be done in protest of the national government’s planned jeepney phaseout.
